BOLIVIA: A MAGICAL COUNTRY  

• Maximum / Minimum Altitudes:
  6,542 meters (21.458 feet), the snow-covered Mount Sajama. 100 meters (330 feet), Bañados of Izozog.

• Climate:
  Tropical on the eastern lowland plains and jungles, temperate in the middle altitude valleys, and cold and dry in the Andes highlands and on the Altiplano (although it gets warm during the day).

• Seasons:
  - Dry season: From June through October (Southern Hemisphere Winter). Most visitors choose this period for their visit. The air, however, is quite dry and temperatures plummet in certain regions of the Andes.
  - High precipitation season: Most of the yearly rainfall falls between November and March (Southern Hemisphere Summer). Bolivia’s beauty is enhanced in this period. Rainfall or no, one can travel throughout the year over most of the country’s improving highways.
  - Intermediate seasons: Considering the characteristics of both dry and wet seasons, transition periods (April-June and September-November) are, in our opinion, the best times to visit Bolivia.
