CARRASCO NATIONAL PARK – EL PUENTE JUNGLE LODGE  The National Park Carrasco is a mountainous landscape of incomparable beauty, Torrent Rivers and vertiginous waterfalls, of calm valleys and deep tubes. There, in addition, exuberant vegetation exists in protected areas and lodges, almost like last refuge, to a numerous amount of animals, plants and trees that are on the verge of disappearing of the planet. Located to the east of the department of Cochabamba, the park extends between the provinces of Chapare-Carrasco and Tiraque. It has a surface of 6.226 kilometres square and its altitudinal rank oscillates between the 280 to 4.717 m. Its climate is cold in the heights of the side the west and the south (Tiraque- Pojo), and tropical warm in the lowest territories of the North region, Chapare. The rain and mist, sometimes seems interminable, facilitate the formation of an important number of river and brooks.In Carrasco National Park you will have the opportunity to explore the caves of the Night Birds (Steatornis Caripensis), "Gallito of rocks" (rupícola peruviana) and two kinds of bats and to have long walks and strolls for about 2 hours along the paths to enjoy the fauna and the beautiful scenery and for the adventurous people the 7 hour walk in incredible landscapes. PROGRAMS: Fremen Tours has selected the following Programs, please click on any of the programs to read more: CHAPARE AND CARRASCO NATIONAL PARK DAY 1, To hours 08:00 we will initiate the trip with destiny to Villa Tunari observing the biodiversity of landscapes from valleys of Removed, soon we will visit the lagoon of Corani and its environs, we will continue the trip until Incachaca where we will have a long walk that will allow us to know the beginning amazonía Soon we will travel towards Lagoon Paradise where we will be able to enjoy an exquisite lunch. We will continue traveling towards the Hotel Bridge in Villa Tunari where we will be able to enjoy 14 pozas natural of crystalline water and ecological footpaths. During afternoon we will know the Refuge animals Inti Wara Yassi within the Machia Park. Supper and lodging. 
DAY 2, Breakfast. During the morning we will make long walks by the ecological footpaths of the Hotel. Lunch. To hours 12:30 we will go to the National Park Carrasco where we will visit the Caves of the Luceros Birds in the Caverns of the Repechón, soon we will continue the long walk towards the Palmar, where we will be able to observe strange and diverse species of birds like the "Gallito of rocks" (rupícola peruviana). It has supper in the Hotel. 
DAY 3, After the breakfast we will leave to Villarroel Port where we will sail in the mighty Ichilo River having observed animal diversity like to be bufeos (dolphins of río), buffalos, parrots, monkeys and others, guaraya visits a stay to have a cultural interchange with a root ethnic group. Lunch. Late it frees. Supper. DAY 4, After the breakfast we will visit the Jungle a place of recreation and diversion. To noon we will have a barbecue and we will be able to enjoy the last baths in pozas. To advisable hour return to Cochabamba.
INKALLAJTA RUINS (Full day) Overland trip to Inkallajta (142Km), then continue the trip on foot for two hours in order to reach this Pre-Columbian archaeological site. Inkallajta means “Inca Village”. It used to be a sanctuary and at the same time one of the last Inca control points for the agricultural areas to the east of the Andes. Due to its structure these ruins are of a great scientific interest (lunch included).
INCACHAKA (7 hours) Located to 93 km of the city of Cochabamba, a tropic land, to 1065 m. over the sea a beautiful place in the middle of the mountain, a forest of fog, ecologic amphitheatre of the forest paradisiacal seen, footpaths with butterflies, natural water cascades, ponds, artificial streams for sport fishing of trout and deposits where you can taste an appetizing plate of this fish prepared by expert hands: all this conforms a set of attractive of easy access for one amused excursion.To raise the valley of puna and to descend in counted minutes to the forest , visiting the dam of Corani, the hydroelectric plants of Corani and Santa Isabel or simply to admire the orchids variety, giant ferns of the zone, make of the passage by Incachaca an unforgettable experience.
COCHABAMBA VALLEY TOURTARATA, HUAYCULI, CLIZA, PUNATA AND ARANI – VALLE ALTO (Full day)
Overland trip to Tarata (25 Km from Cochabamba) where the Colonial architecture has remained undamaged for more than two centuries. You will be able to visit San Pedro Church and the Convent of San Francisco, the mayoral palace with its beautiful ceramics. Lunch in the countryside, then visit the town of Cliza, the temple, Main Square and its environments. We continue to the town of Punata to visit the mayoral house, the temple and the main square site of one of the biggest fairs in the “Alto Valle.” (High Valley)Visit the town of Arani, where you will enjoy seeing the Sanctuary of the Virgin “La Bella” (The Beautiful) exquisititely decorated, dating from the early 17th century. Visit the Calvary of La Bella Virgin and its surroundings. The trip continues to the region of Condor Huanchana, where a colony of the exotic “Puya Raimondi” cactus is found. VALLE BAJO TOUR AROUND THE VALLEY QUILLACOLLO, PAIRUMANI, PASO, TIQUIPAYA (Full day)
Overland transfer from Cochabamba to Quillacollo (13 Km) along a tree-lined route stretching to the foothills of the Tunari Mountain. Eucaliptus, willow and “mole” trees can be seen along the way. Visit “Villa Albina” in Pairumani, the site chosen at the beginning of the century by the famous tin magnate Simon Patiño, as his country residence. Lunch in the countryside. Visit the picturesque villages of El Paso and Tiquipaya, situated in the most beautiful part of the Cochabamba valley, famous for its landscapes and climate of eternal spring. FOREST OF QUEWIÑAS and LAGOONS.(Full day)
We will visit the high-Andean forest better conserved, wild horses, Andean bears, variety of birds and amphibians. Beginning the tour early in the morning, we will go towards the south of the city of Cochabamba, to a distance of 80km. of the city, an hour and a half trip. By the way of the Narrowness arriving at the Chaupisuyu, we will be able to enter the beautiful community of Roundup where the farmers cultivate potatoes and beautiful flowers. Passing Roundup through a way of singular and diverse fauna and flora we will find the first lagoon of three, to a height of 3800m.where we will be able to appreciate one of the greater forests of Quewiña of America, of an extension of 4Km. of length, which lodges a variety of singular fauna, we will venture ourselves to enter, to arrive at the second lagoon, a height of 3900m., will be able to take out our cameras and start the camera shooting, taking photos from the beautiful landscape, wild horses, birds, amphibians and with some luck we will photograph an Andean bear. Raising the hill in front of the second lagoon, a long walk of at least half an hour we will find the last lagoon and greatest, to 4000m. we will be able There to practice the fishing of trout, if we have luck we will be able to eat for lunch a delicious fish. For the great adventurers, at half an hour from ascent by the hill we will arrive at its higher tip to 4200m where we will be able to see the 4 ecological floors of the Andes (high-Andean Forests, Mount Eyebrow, Yungas and Amazonian), along with the landscape that give clouds in carpet form, you will feel that you walk on them!
TUNARI TREK (Full day)
Towards the north of the city of Cachabamba, to 63 km way to Morochata is the mountain range Tunari, impressive mountain of 5.200 m. offers a precious panoramic view of the valley and the city of Cochabamba. During his ascent you can see condors, flames and vicunas, like beautiful crystalline water lagoons, inhabited by "Huallatas", geese and diverse spices of wild ducks, their environs are ideal for camping, fishing and to delight with wonderful Andean landscapes.
INCARRACAY (Full day) Visiting the town of Quillacollo, El Calvario and the santuary of the Urkupiña Virgin we will get to Sipe Sipe where we will make a very nice walk to Incarracay, important civil administrative center by its strategic location in the Incas dominions of the valley. You will visit the ruins and fell the strong energy of this place. it is the first place that resive the sun by the mornings.
TORO TORO NATIONAL PARK (3 days) Toro Toro, located on the border between the departments (states) of Cochabamba and Potosi. Where “ponds and trays” (natural pools) are located. Along the way, you will see interesting rock paintings over 1.000 years old.The “Uma-Jalanta” caves are a challenge for adventure-lovers 10 km away from the small town. In the interior of the caves you will be awed by the stalactites and stalagmites of white calcareous rock formed by centuries of slow dripping moisture. As you go deeper into the cavern, you reach a peaceful underground lake, where blind fish of an extremely rare specie lives, and it is rarely found somewhere else in the world. Continue walking as far as the site of the Dinosaur and Carnesaur footprints, ancient remains of the Cretaceous Period over 80 million years ago.“El Vergel”, a place you can bathe in crystalline pools fed by waterfalls containing lovely formations of petrified moss is a way of closing our trip with a brilliant finishing touch. |
